Shane and his team have carried out multiple renovations at our home including some small external additions.

Removing walls on a two story home required a lot of coordination, design, approval and build, Shane carried out all of this on our behalf. He worked around any possible challenges making it pretty much hassle free for us. Shane is a good communicator, honest and up front. Him and his team work efficiently and protected and kept clean our property whilst doing so. Carpets were covered, vacuuming as dust generating jobs were done. Managing the communication, supply and timing of sub-contractors was excellent.

I would not hesitate to use him again if needed and confidently recommend him to others.

We were delighted to find Shane from SMT Building NZ Ltd and from our first contact with Shane and his team we felt very comfortable with them. Professional, considerate, forthcoming with suggestions and always approachable. Shane was also happy to work with our plumbers (FB Hall) and bathroom tiler, as well as helped us keep the kitchen suppliers on track.

Living in a house undergoing a renovation had filled us with trepidation as we had three generations that included a five-year-old, but Shane’s guys made life as comfortable as possible and were always mindful of our needs. Starting consistently and finishing consistently each day also gave us the opportunity to plan our day. Ensuring that the site was left clean and dust free at the end of each working day made our lives easier. Operating under level three Covid restrictions, the team were also mindful of social distancing, and we all felt safe.

The workmanship and attention to finishing detail was exemplary we had no concerns to raise in the final inspection. SMT Buildings willingness to support us in completing tasks that had to wait due to delivery delays from third party suppliers was great.

If we were to renovate again, there would be no question who we would use. We have no hesitation in recommending SMT Building to our friends and family.

We had a problem with a very small ugly 1960's kitchen that needed renovating. Someone recommended Shane Tesselaar from SMT Building NZ Limited.

On first meeting Shane he could see my vision and discussed ways of making the kitchen bigger.
